What sets Ardent Market apart is that it's intentionally curated from the work of 74+ independent artists, makers, and brands. But what does 'intentional curation' really mean?
I believe 'intentional curation' means a mindful, respectful, ethical, and joyful approach to buying and sourcing goods.
As the owner and curator of Ardent Market, I strive to research artists and brands that align with our values and make sure you have every opportunity to make decisions for your home, body, and being that are correct for you. Shopping should be an exploration of what is important to you and what you find beauty and inspiration in.
Many things are considered before buying for Ardent Market, and that's because retail—at least a retail we wish to cultivate more of, isn't just about transactions; it's about relationships. Convenience is no longer the sole criteria for business; we are meant to connect with each other and to enjoy ourselves. And I, for one, find it hard to have a good time if I feel like someone is left out or I am rushed or pressured to make a decision. Connection, feedback, support, and community are just some things we hope to celebrate through our curation and change within the retail industry.
I buy and source according to the values below to practice transparency and create a business aligned with our mission. I have outlined them as they are defined in-house.
To be included at Ardent Market, featured as an artist/band or partnered with in any way for operations/systems, they must meet at least three of these values. Most of our brands meet more than three.

*The California standard for organic beauty is 70%, and most, if not all, our organic beauty goods are 85%-100% organic
Small Batch - This indicates production where goods are made in limited quantities, often by means of traditional or artisanal methods. There are fewer goods available at any given time, and in our case, this indicates that these items are made-to-order for Ardent Market.
Sustainable - Products, manufacturing, and processing are maintained without the depletion of natural resources. These goods are recycled, created with renewable resources, promote for re-usability, and are considered non-toxic.
I created filters for you to shop according to your values. Your values are just as important as ours. This means you can explore and search by the criteria you find essential on the left-hand side of each category. By selecting what criteria you have for your home and lifestyle, you can start to become familiar and connect with familiar brands and unexpected finds.
Intentional curation gives us a way to support the people and causes we care about and create a community of like-minded people. And hopefully, it allows you to be very specific and discover even more than you can imagine.
