Loose Incense Blend Set

Loose incense is a beautiful way to enjoy many complex fragrances, deepen a meditative practice, open chakras, and connect with the earth. These blends by High Sun Low Moon are our favorite for the familiar, bright, and sultry formulas. They burn beautifully and carry you from dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn.

+ High Sun blend: honors the day with masculine yang energy. This hand-ground blend contains frankincense, desert sage, juniper wood, patchouli, and musks seeds. Wood, resin, and herbs are mixed together to burn with top, middle, and bottom notes in mind. With a bright and clearing aroma, this blend is meant to be burned from dawn until dusk.

+ Low Moon blend: honors the night with feminine yin energy. This hand-ground blend contains black copal, myrrh, chaparral, rose petals, and yerba santa. Wood, resin, and herbs are mixed together to burn with top, middle, and bottom notes in mind. With a sensual and velvety aroma, this blend is meant to be burned from dusk until dawn.

To Use: Hold the charcoal with tongs and light (crackling and popping indicate ignition). Place the charcoal in a burn-safe container, preferably insulated with sand or ash. The bowl side of the charcoal should hold your incense. Once the charcoal has a dark center and grey outer ring, place your incense in the middle and enjoy the deep cleansing, balancing, and healing benefits until it burns out, or add more blend along the way. 

* With your fire safety crown on, any burn or flame like a candle/incense needs to be done carefully, preferably in a place undisturbed. Rituals are about intention, so mindful execution and respect of elements is critical.
